Build Engineer/ Development and Operations

  • The Build Engineer/DevOps position will play an important role in the management and automation of core development and SQA processes. The primary responsibilities will be to work with development and SQA teams to build and deploy MSI application software to internal systems to support development and SQA efforts.

    What you’ll be doing?

    • Create builds of mobile applications, windows services, client/server applications, and web applications
    • Create installation packages and/or processes including use of InstallShield.
    • Research and introduce automation of build processes to meet growing needs
    • Assist with documenting software and database modifications as part of the change control process.
    • Assist others in Dev department with VMWare
    • Assist with maintenance of development servers

  • Other Responsibilities

    • Create SSRS reports for products and internal use.
    • Assist fellow development team members and professional services team members in updating utilities and/or processes to import their data into standard product.
    • As time is available small helper utilities could be created to automate internal processes or one-off issues we encounter.
    • Assist in designing new application databases working closely with the application development team.

  • Build Engineer/DevOps Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer software, or related field
    • Strong understanding of database structures, principles and practices
    • 3+ years’ experience in database administration on a SQL Server DB environment
    • 2+ years developing solutions using TSQL, SSIS and SSRS
    • Complex analytical and problem solving skills
    • Technical documentation skills
    • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
    • Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
