Business Analyst

    The Business Analyst works with project managers and customers to define requirements and map workflows accommodated by Service Pro software solutions, developed by MSI. This role is considered the subject matter expert of Service Pro and is the lead for application configuration, set up, client specific training and functional specification development, within projects. This role resides in the Professional Services team, but collaborates cross functionally with technical services, development, including the integration team and other internal departments.

    While the position can be technical in nature, previous coding experience is not required, but a general understanding is beneficial. The ideal candidate is able to collaborate with project managers to achieve go live of projects and provide support, as needed, from post implementation to support hand off.

  • <!–mep-nl–><strong>Job Specific Duties </strong> <!–mep-nl–><ul><li>Provide subject matter expertise of the Service Pro software solutions</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Accurately define, communicate and demonstrate customer business and application requirements</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Identify and recommend solutions for any gaps in customer requirements and communicate to project team effectively </li><!–mep-nl–><li>Develop application configuration to meet those requirements and produce supporting documentation</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Understand, document and test customer requirements for development by MSI resources</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Develop clear functional specifications for Business Intelligence solutions to be developed</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Provide succinct ongoing status updates and escalation, as appropriate, to guarantee an on-time and on budget implementation</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Work directly with customers and MSI resources to troubleshoot and ultimately provide customer-specific training, bug-fixes or new project scope</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Develop tools to drive customer implementation, user acceptance testing and end-user training to the highest levels of efficiency and quality</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Provides application support to multiple, concurrent projects to completion</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Improve business efficiency through contribution to standard implementation methodologies and working procedures</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Meet utilization targets as defined during annual planning</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Maintain accurate and useful records of interaction and recommendations for customers</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Drives adoption of key internal systems and functions needed to provide successful project implementation per approved methodology and throughout department </li><!–mep-nl–><li>Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction</li><!–mep-nl–></br><!–mep-nl–></ul><!–mep-nl–><!–mep-nl–><!–mep-nl–>

    Professional Qualities

    <!–mep-nl–><ul><!–mep-nl–><!–mep-tab–><li>3 – 5 years of software application or project management experience. Demonstrated experience utilizing project management methods, project implementations, structure and life-cycle, and best practice standards and tools.</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Ability to work successfully on a team comprised of multiple customer and internal teams and resources</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Highly organized, high attention to detail, and must be able to shift tasks as needed due to project schedules and changing priorities</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Excellent written/verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Strong time-management skills and abilities to communicate deadlines and dependencies</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Willingness to innovate and continuously improve; enjoys teaching and assisting other team members</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Proactive highly organized self-starter with a record of producing results with minimal direction</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Excellent inter-personal skills to successfully work with customers, contractors, and internal team members</li><!–mep-nl–></ul><!–mep-nl–></br><!–mep-nl–>
