SALESmaster - Sales Force Automation for the Cable Industry
Overview
SALESmaster provides Cable Industry SALES (either an in-house department or outside Sales Contractor) with an efficient methodology for sales, installation & collections of NEW or UPGRADED CABLE CUSTOMERS. It will allow for Sales Force Automation by tracking information about Sales activities from the IDENTIFICATION OF LEADS to the CLOSE OUT OF THE INSTALLATION. SALESmaster can also be used effectively for Collections and Customer Retention activities.
An overview of the Process is:
- IDENTIFY LEADS - can be Non-Subs, Unauthorized Viewers, Satellite Users, Back Balance > $100, etc
- CREATE SALES ROUTE FROM LEADS - flexible, can be done by Corp, Zip Code, Audit Route, etc
- ASSIGN ROUTE TO SALES - allows for efficient assignment & followup
- GATHER SALES INFORMATION - uses any Window Mobile Handheld Device
- SCHEDULE INSTALL - using Work Order System
- COLLECT INSTALL INFORMATION/COLLECT PAYMENTS - allows for entry of Installation Data
- PRINT CUSTOMER RECEIPTS - can print a signed customer receipt
- REPORT(S) ON SALES & INSTALLS – includes Account Details, Route Summary Report, Daily Sales Activity Report, Confirmed Sales Report, Kickback Report, Sales Summary, Sales Commission Reports, Sales Orders, Sales Sweep Report, Installation Reports & more
The SALESmaster – Sales Force Automation System uses a Pen-based Handheld where the data can be easily entered and then uploaded. The handheld will track the result of the sales contact, allow entry of orders, collection of money & scheduling of installations. Signature capture along with Wireless printing capabilities are also provided. The systems also provides reporting on the number of sales and the effectiveness of both a particular salesperson and the sales staff as a whole.
The leads can be generated from the MONITOR Version 6.x - Cable Audit software or other existing databases. Using the Monitor, software technicians detect and deactivate homes who are not cable subscribers but are receiving cable service. These “unauthorized viewers” (UAs) are then turned over to the sales staff as a Sales Lead in an attempt to convert these UAs into paying customers. Also, multiple Sales Campaigns are supported including Non Active addresses, Basics Only, Satellite Customers, etc. The system can also be used as an effective Collections tool.
Specifications
SALESmaster can run with or without the MONITOR SYSTEM. SALESmaster Desktop runs on Windows XP platform and integrates with Office Professional XP. A remote connection and remote access software is required on the PC as a standard support tool. SALESmaster will run on a Pentium IV PC with 1 GB of RAM or above. It requires approximately 30 MB for the software and about 170 MB for the data files (the size of the data files will vary depending upon the Customer base of each Cable Company). SALESmaster requires a MC7095 or comparable Pocket PC with the recommended System Configuration on the handheld computer and a portable printer for each DSR. At least one Charging Cradle is required to download and upload software and data files.
