Content Marketing Manager

As an integral member of the MSI marketing team, the Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating the company’s content marketing strategy, leading its production and monitoring performance of content assets and initiatives on an ongoing basis. You’ll create compelling content across a variety of mediums, designed to pique prospect, customer and partner interest, helping us achieve our ambitious goals for lead generation, website traffic and conversions, campaigns, events and industry recognition.

  • Knows how to create compelling content: Anyone can write drab marketing content pieces which don’t spur action. You know what it takes to connect with the market through moving content.

  • Is a positively gifted communicator: You’re not just a good talker. You’re also a good listener, conversation starter, and writer.

What you’ll do at the office:

High level

  • Create marketing content and execute related initiatives

Marketing Content Production and Management

  • Develop an integrated plan for content marketing which touches all mediums and prospect lifecycle phases
  • Research, write, design and produce finished content marketing pieces o Examples include blog posts, guides, infographics, press releases, articles, videos, and more
  • Lead content distribution via social, website and other channels to attract visibility to widest possible targeted audience, including prospect, customer and partner groups
  • Leverage MSI-generated marketing content to gain additional industry visibility through press releases, industry articles and off page SEO activities
  • Test tactics to improve conversion of website visitors into top of funnel leads
  • Work with product, professional services and demand generation to source customer stories and case studies for compelling top to middle of funnel conversion content
  • Define and goals and metrics for measuring content marketing effectiveness
  • Own complete content marketing production process, from idea to creation and execution to reporting
  • Work with internal marketing, sales, product and industry specialists as needed
  • Develop, maintain and communicate content marketing campaign and production schedule
  • Identify and manage vendor resource relationships as needed for content marketing

Must haves:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Marketing or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in B2B software marketing, with at least 2 years of content marketing experience

Required professional expertise:

  • Proactive self-starter with skills required to lead creation and execution of content marketing programs, and be accountable for results
  • Software marketing enthusiast with detailed knowledge of content marketing best practices in the B2B software industry
  • Proven track record of developing B2B software marketing content spanning top, middle and bottom of the funnel stages
  • Proven track record of strong lead generation performance stemming from content marketing
  • Confident, clear and enthusiastic presentation skills
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, webinar or equivalent marketing systems
  • Statistics-driven mindset for measuring and improving performance

We’d like you to have:

  • The ability to work successfully on a team comprised of multiple internal and external teams and resources
  • Experience with enterprise software marketing techniques and trends
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to manage to deadlines and dependencies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and presentation tool skills
  • Solid understanding of ERP, CRM and mobile systems and their application in field-oriented businesses
  • Strong commitment to project timelines
