Connect Service Pro FSM to the rest of your business.
The Service Pro FSM API is a RESTful API that uses the Open Data Protocol (OData). Read work orders, attachments and inspection results, create orders, customers, technicians and inventory, and update records from the systems you already run.
What teams use it for
IoT and remote monitoring
- Bring data from IoT devices into Service Pro FSM for real-time monitoring.
- Kick off workflows that deal with an issue before it becomes a call.
- Share status and readings with your customer as they happen.
Connect your ERP, CRM or other applications
- Pull CRM data into Service Pro FSM and back, so a sale turns into scheduled service.
- Keep work orders, equipment updates and service appointments in sync across systems.
- Surface high-value opportunities on priority dashboards.
Custom field updates
- Update fields like mileage, truck health or inventory bin information automatically.
- Carry data feeds that go beyond Service Pro FSM's standard fields.
- Connect business systems for reporting and analysis.
Built on standards your developers already know.
REST and OData. Query with $filter, $select and $expand, and walk related records like order segments and order lines.
Four methods. GET to read, POST to create, PATCH to update, DELETE to remove.
Key-based authentication. Each request carries the API key and secret key MSI Data issues, plus your company ID.
Traceable requests. Correlation and correlation-group headers let MSI Data trace a request end to end.
Planned maintenance you can query. Maintenance windows are posted at least a week ahead on the Service Pro status page, and your integration can check for them through the API.
Sensible limits. No fixed rate limit today; retries are capped at five per data point with exponential backoff.

"It's game changing when you're able to watch data live and be able to react to that data quicker and faster than how it used to be."
Getting access
API access comes with a Service Pro API Connector license and the Service Pro API and Developer Policy. MSI Data issues your API key and secret key.
