Service Pro User Conference (SPUC 2024): Year 2 Recap

This years’ Service Pro User Conference held last week would not have been possible without our sponsors, customers and colleagues who brought it all to life.

Initially, the first Service Pro User Conference was going to be held in 2021, but the pandemic pushed back our plans. To make this event possible post-pandemic, we stayed close to home in the historic Schlitz Park and brought in and successfully hosted the inaugural Service Pro User Conference in 2023. After great feedback from our attendees, we knew we had to go even bigger for year 2.

Our focus for this annual user conference is collaboration. We seek to bring together all the best experts in Service Pro in one place, to create a collaborative environment where clients can learn from us and each other. Our customers are all over the world, but the MSI Data team is headquartered in the heart of the Midwest, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin so it’s only fitting we host this event in the city we call home.

This year’s highlights included fantastic presenters, a wealth of networking opportunities, and a new venue. The event kicked off with a keynote, co-hosted by Christopher Stiles, CEO of Total Energy Systems, and Geoff Surkamer, CEO of MSI Data. In addition, an engineering partner at Amazon Web Services (AWS) presented on Generative AI to the crowd of 100+ gathered last week.

Our team hosted two days of immersive discussions on all things Service Pro with our customers, sponsors/partners and colleagues.

The sessions we held consisted of a variety of topics including:

  • API: Updates and Use Cases
  • Tips & Tricks Sessions for Back Office and Mobile Refinement
  • All Things Contracts
  • Optimizing Data in Business Intelligence
  • Our Roadmap, Customer Experience, and Scheduler+
  • AI for Field Service

Attendees got a first look at some of our upcoming launches, including a behind-the-scenes look into Scheduler+, which will be launching early 2025.

Our premiere evening event started with an outdoor happy hour with sprawling city views, followed by dinner and the night event of Vegas on Wheels, with special prizes for our winners. We were delighted to unwind with the group following a day filled with sessions.

We are so thankful to all of our sponsors for helping us bring this event to fruition and their partnership year-round. Keep your eyes peeled for a video reel of several of these key players soon.

Lastly, we truly would not have had anywhere close to success this year without our partners and customers. CEO, Geoff Surkamer and VP of Sales and Marketing, Andrew Knox presented the 2024 awards, where we recognized several champions in this year’s milestones:

• Customer of the Year, Piedmont Door Solutions,

• Ambassador of the Year, Total Energy systems, LLC,

• And for partner of the year, BirdDog Software

Bringing SPUC back for a second year would not have been possible without our sponsors, customers, and colleagues who brought it all to life – to every one of you, we extend a massive THANK YOU.

As we look to SPUC 2025, we look forward to a new year of great sessions, panels, conversations, and learning new things together. Let’s go!
