Bringing Back the Podcast: Introducing The Field Five

If you’ve been following us on social media, (cough cough…click here to follow our LinkedIn page) you may have seen that we are launching this podcast. If you’ve been around a while, you might remember an older segment we did around 9 years ago called “Field Force Friday” that featured industry news, tips and tricks, do’s and don’ts, and lots of whiteboard drawings. We were inspired to bring this segment back in a new way, because sometimes you don’t have the time for a 45-minute webinar during your day. Or if you just really hate whiteboards.

See our intro announcement here <–

This podcast is named the “Field 5” because every episode will be about 5 minutes. That’s it – just 5 minutes to an actionable step, new insight, or fresh take on field service industry topics (if you prefer more in-depth content, we have plenty of that too – explore our resources page at your leisure). We want to get down to the key tips and advice in a short time frame so you, valued listener, can gain something valuable and move on with your busy day. You can listen on your commute, in between meetings, or whenever you need a spark of inspiration.

Why should you listen to us? For over 15 years, our flagship platform, Service Pro by MSI Data, has helped hundreds of companies empower their service teams with technology and boost their profitability. We’ve been there through it all, from the addition of cell phones in the field to the newest AI advancements on the market in 2025. This is another way we can bring this knowledge to you!

This podcast may be new, but our mission has stayed the same – to make effective field service management a reality. We are, and always have been, focused on helping field service companies gain visibility and maximize profitability in their operations. New technology can be intimidating, but by expanding the conversation around how companies at any stage can benefit from field service automation, you can take and implement small tips at your own speed, starting with just 5 minutes.

Having spent years in the field service industry, the Field 5 team is excited to bring you a variety of voices, perspectives, and industries across the field service landscape throughout Season 1.

We want to open it up to you: do you have an idea for an episode? Maybe you’re experiencing a challenge you want to hear more about in the field service space? Or want to hear a fresh take on something you don’t hear talked about enough? Comment below or send us an email at [email protected] – we might just answer it on the show!

Make sure to follow our LinkedIn and subscribe to our YouTube page, to be the first to hear about new episodes.

Catch you on the soundwaves!
